Hello, for about a week or so, my X201 started to skip steps when I change screen brightness using Fn+Home (and End) combo.

Currently, I can only use these steps:

    2, 4, 7, 9, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15

    Missing steps are 1, 3, 5, 6 and 10...

I tried with AC power pluged in and unplugged, same thing... I'm not very sure but it seems to happen after I do a clean install of Windows 7 x64, System Update installed everything else (drivers, softwares...)

Are you happen to notice the same with your ThinkPad, any fixes or workarounds?

    Thanks...

yeah - noticed this on my tp as well... I guess it has to do with the power scheme you are running. I'm running on the 'power source optimized' scheme and I'm experiencing the same thing as you are.

experienced this while on battery mode; but everything was normal when the AC was plugged.

must be the scheme. I have mine on custom so I can't say which one to use.

this happened to me when i did a clean install. i still don't really know whats wrong with it at the time so i just diecided to do a factory install and just gave up. i thought it might have something to do with the video drivers? this happened to me when on ac and battery.
