    X201 with Ultrabase display port issue

    I have an X201 and the Ultrabase for it which includes A Displayport hookup. I am trying to connect this to an Asus PA 246 monitor which also has a Displayport hookup. I am trying to use a cord that has Displayport connectors at each end. I can connect the new monitor fine via VGA and the X201 recognizes the new monitor as hardware. Any ideas on how to connect the two via Displayport only? I sincerely appreciate your help.
