My x201 with windows 7 will not shut down. It just goes to a black screen and says 'shutting down"
I have tried a factory install and new drivers.
How ever it will shut down via safe mode, the only other way is a force shut down.

Lenovo says they think it is a system board?

    Pulling my hair out

That's not good. If you've done a factory install with drivers and nothing else, and it's still not working, that would point to a hardware issue. Have you re-seated or tested the memory?

Run the PC Doctor diagnostics on the drive and RAM, see if your hardware is okay.
