Why does the X220 doesn't come with Micro Solid State Drive? When will they come out with that option?

Many models aren't giving the option to spec it (not just the x220), even though they are compatible. I'm guessing there are supply issues.

As vinuneuro mentioned, you can buy one from NewEgg. 40GB and 80GB versions are available. You may end up paying less as well.

How are the intel 310 series in terms of speed when comparing to other ssd's?
I'm thinking of just having lenovo upgrade the hard drive in my x220 to the 320gb 7200rpm hdd. Then adding the intel 310 series later on.

I've heard its hard to find a compatible hdd that will work with the 7mm spacing. 70 Dollar upgrade from Lenovo...hmmm
