Posted in lenovo's forum. Interesting phrasing. Not listed as a problem fix, but an 'improvement' for the issue. Hopefully this does fix the i7 problems.

EDIT - Confirmed, mSATA still works fine with 1.19. -
I have customised an i7 one. Gonna try it out. Thanks!

Hmm, I wonder in what way it improves the 'fan control method'. I thought 1.17 had fully taken care of that.
Gonna wait a bit. -
There was one bug in 1.17. If the fan speed got up to max speed, 4500 rpm etc, it'd hang at that speed even after temps dropped.

I'd like to see what peoples temps and watt usage do after updating. Still on 1.16 myself, don't really see a reason to update (myself at least).

No change.

Is there a BIOS 1.18? I can't find it anywhere, sorry for sounding noobish there =/
-
Does 1.18 or 1.19 work with the eGPU with 4gb and more memory?! I can't try it before friday night..

I gotta wait for the whitelist hack..
-
Slightly better battery life, but that's likely just because I was running 1.12 before the update.
-
I'm only pulling up 1.17. Where are you or better yet how are you getting 1.19 or what are you selecting to get it? Choosing win7 64bit or .....
thks -
Thanks for the link, it wasn't showing up on the site for me but it installed fine in Win7 x64.

I am seeing a reduction in the fan noise pulsing. The effect is still there, but it has been reduced.
As for increased battery life, I'll be keeping my eyes out over the next few days. -
Is it my imagination or are temperatures a bit lower? It might just be due to the English summer (temperatures just above freezing).

I can confirm that the 1.17 had the throttling bug (stuck at 800MHz) and now with 1.19 I haven't seen stucking at 800MHz yet.
