    Hey All,

I recently received my 8gb of HyperX 1866mhz memory and have been running some benchmarks to make sure everything is working correctly. Well, it doesn't seem like things are up to snuff. I have run quite a few 3dMark06 benchmarks and I am seeing pretty crappy results.

    Result

They are nowhere near the results seen in this post:

I have checked the bios and made sure that everything is set to maximum performance, power manager is set to max performance, and Lenovo Turbo Boost + is on. I am plugged into the power adapter and have the battery installed.

I have updated the Intel Graphics drivers to 8.15.10.2342 and am running a factory install.

I'm not sure what else to do, I'm sorta disappointed with the graphics performance, but the computer is great other than that!

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Yup, i7, I haven't really noticed the "throttling" issue, as the processor turbo boosts quite often.

Hwinfo is reporting the ram correctly and shows the processor at full speed.

    Thanks!

Try Intel HD Graphics driver version 2361. You have to force a manual install, but the performance is markedly improved.

Thanks, updated drivers, 3dMark still shows around 3400 points.

Thank you again othersteve. You solved it. It looks like another unfortunate case of cpu/gpu throttling.

    I really appreciate your help.
