I've done plenty of RAM upgrades in desktops but never before in a laptop. How feasible is it in the X220? I figured I'd save the $80 and just buy a Newegg $20 stick of 2 GB RAM.

You're kidding, right? There's no place to unscrew and just pop it in?

I'm trying to think of how lazy you'd have to be to not be able to find out how to change the ram. Best of luck.

Well I did Google and there was nothing talking about it. I didn't YouTube it though and now I just did and found 1 video that does it. So thanks for making me think outside the box a little I guess.

Look at the bottom of your notebook. I'm sure you'll figure it out from there.

Yeah man. You should have done the cursory amount of research before buying necessary to find out that replacing or adding to the RAM in the x220 is as easy as basically any other laptop :)

The X220 is a little bit tricky as you need to insert the memory at an angle and then push it down. Confused me until I watched the service video.
