So i recently just received my X220 with an IPS screen. However, when I play a movie with a dark scene or open up a program with a black background, i noticed that the screen dims slightly. This is even more noticeable when i alt tab, then the screen begins to brighten up more if there's no black.

Does anyone else experience this? If so, how do i stop it from dimming on black?

I tried it on mine, opening up Paint and filling it with black. I Alt + tabbed between a white webpage and Paint and didn't experience any dimming.

I thought I did on one of the switches, but I think it was an optical illusion :p

Disable automatic brightness in intel graphics settings.
