    X220 Slice Battery NO LONGER AVAILABLE

    Been advised by Lenovo they are cancelling my order yet again- they have said it is because the Slice battery is now discontinued.

    My main purchasing reason was the 20+ hours battery life so not sure I want it now - with 2 cancelled orders I have been waiting over a month so not sure will bother with Lenovo at all.. :mad:

    Can't confirm it, but I can say it is still up on the Lenovo's website and you can still add it to cart, etc.

    I would think they are on back order, or perhaps they discontinued this model to add one that can attach to the dock.

    In either case they made alot of claims with that slice battery I cant see them killing it off already.

    I have the slice battery. Had to RMA my X220 though yesterday and order a new one. Kepted the Slice though.

    You have to order the battery in the accessory section, or have a rep add it if your doing a phone order.

    I really hope this option sticks around for future models. I really would love to have a 23 hour battery life laptop one day.

    I got one when I ordered. I was amazed that they didn't have the option shilled with all the backpacks, software, and warranties. It took a bit of research to find the correct part and add it to my cart. I agree this is one of the many killer features of this laptop. If they really are dropping it from production I'd be curious why. Either way I'm glad I got in early.

    I'd also like to know that! If the slice is not available anymore I'll have no choice but to order the Fujitsu T901, because just one battery won't be enough, especially since the Tablet version of the x220 only has a 6-cell, no 9-cell.

    Why would they cancel an order for an accessory?

    I have had them cancel parts of an order when it wasn't available but can't see them canceling an order on the base machine as well as on an accessory.

    Was the order placed through Lenovo.com?
