Hey guys, got an x220 about a week ago and I love it! Great machine. I am having one problem: when I put the machine in sleep mode, after a few minutes it switches to hibernate automatically. This is with the lid closed.
I know there must be an option to disable this or extend the time until it switches in power manager, but I can't seem to find it. Any help?

If you don't use/want hibernation at all, you can disable it through the command prompt: Hibernate - Enable or Disable - Windows 7 Forums

In the power manager you can click on the advanced button on the top right. After that you can edit the power manager profile that you are using. Click on idle timers and you should see options for several events.
Hibernation is the last item on the list and you can set it to a longer time period or you can set it to "never" hibernate. This setting will not effect your ability to enter hibernation manually and in these same settings you could configure it to hibernate when power button is pressed or lid is closed if you would like a quick alternative method. -
