Does anyone have any info about the availability of the X220T in the UK?

I rang a couple of weeks back and the guys at Lenovo said they'd expected it to be in available to order in two weeks, that deadline expired last week.

I rang one of the larger distributors Insight and they told me that Lenovo were having supply problems in China because of the tsunami, which I took with a pinch of salt and that the X220T was available to order but there was a non guaranteed 2-3week lead time on them, which I interpret to mean, "order away, good luck on getting one any time soon". They also said X201s were almost depleted so it should be available some time soon.

I'd like to get one of these soonish, but can't wait till Christmas if they're not appearing any time soon, so any info is welcome.

it is kinda ridiculous. No word from them. The only semi-official info was an unboxing video done by lenovo where they claimed for the outdoor variant to be "available mid april"... yeah right.

I've put all purchase decisions to a halt and have tried to make up my mind whether to get a Fujitsu T901 instead but this only led to me wanting to see the machines first. Either one will do I guess, whichever I can get my hands on first will probably make it.

Ah well look's like they'll come over here when the US sales drop off, when no doubt they'll be 2x as expensive.

For whatever reason, I'd rather not buy something like a laptop off ebay.

The sunny month of July is now upon us. Mid-July is their latest estimate, to be taken with a large pinch of salt!
