I will keep working this thread for a while, and I might start on a W520 one, because it is the other machine I am interested in.

Unfortunately, the Owners' threads are almost unreferenceable/unlinkable, which is why I tried to make this alternative, as an experiment.

I am unsure whether or not to include offsite links such as the Lenovo Forums, where I am controversial already.

Do you have a link to a thread/product page with a displayport to HDMI adapter that passes video and audio properly?

I went back about 60 pages of posts, which is approaching necromancy. Rather than editorialize, I just tried to find threads that have a question that might come up again, an answer, or people trying to find one.

See, threads like this are only useful if people strictly refer new thread posters to this thread to reveal the answer, instead of giving the answer in every redundant new question thread. So, everyone, make a pact to do so...
