Hey guys, I haven't been able to figure out this problem. I installed the AKE usb 3.0 expresscard and the drivers are installed correctly. However, after a restart there's a huge mouse lag where the mouse just jumps and becomes unusable. Has anyone encounter this problem? If so, is there a solution? I tested this on two x220. I bought this one a while back: Amazon.com: Express card 54mm To 2 Port USB 3.0 expresscard: Computers & Accessories

I have the card as well but never got it to work. Where did you download the drivers?

Thanks for the tip! Those were the only drivers that worked on my X220.

I see the mouse jerkiness (and slow video) too, BUT it only happens if I hot-insert the card; there's no problem if I have the card inserted before booting. I plan to leave it in, so it's not a problem I'll face often.

Here's the review I put on Amazon:

Once you get the right drivers (-1 star for them being so hard to find), performance is great and the price is right. Mine arrived in 4 days!

DRIVERS: See link above; I use the one called "USB3.0 NEC720202." I tried the drivers on the CD, and several others from the net, but to no avail.

PERFORMANCE: I tested with a Seagate Expansion 3 TB USB 3.0 Desktop External Hard Drive STAY3000102 on a Lenovo X220 with SSD. Speeds were 205 MBps read and 102 MBps write (that's megabytes, not megabits) transferring 3 ~500MB files (using a stopwatch; didn't have time to get too fancy about it). The same drive on the built-in USB 2.0 ports was 33 MBps read and 23 MBps write.

OTHER THOUGHTS: It fits snugly in the port on my X220, and is sunk in just a bit beyond flush. To remove, I can insert a USB cord, twist slightly and pull quickly, or use pliers around the divider between ports.

Drivers work well BUT I get the mouse lag after the X220 wakes from sleep. It takes a reboot to solve the problem. Any solution other than shutdown every time?

    Mouselag after resuming from sleep.

Device Manager > USB Root hub > uncheck allow the computer to turn off this device to save power.

    Do this for both ports.

The card will work now when resuming from sleep, and no mouse lag is present.

Did anyone have any luck with this card? I also have the same expresscard 2 x USB 3.0 and when waking up from sleep with no USB drive attached I have severe lag. If there is a USB already attached however it doesn't lag. Power saving as well as USB selective suspend is turned off. Could it be the actual card that needs to be replaced?
