I got my X220 today. I decided to go with my original configuration since Lenovo shipped me 3 X220s configurations! They never cancelled my previous orders when I re-configured. DOH!

The specs: i7-2640, 8GB memory (from Crucial), Intel 160GB SSD, IPS Screen, BT, FPR, Camera, 6205 network card, 6 cell battery, and slice battery.

    So here are my questions...

    1) The fitment of the slice battey doesn't seem right. The front left corner of the laptop has a lot of flex and makes a creaking noise when pushed down with the slice is attached. Nothing looks to be warped. Looks like too much space between the two, with no support. Can anyone confirm this is normal or not?

    2) What bloatware can be removed without losing anything that can benefit the system? Does any of the Lenove software work better than what the Windows default can do? EX: I have two battery meters going, one from Lenovo and the Windows one.

    Thanks in advanced.

Mine did not have this diagram. I'll have to try it again when I get home. Hope it fits because I really want to keep it.

    Thanks

I for one got rid of the lenovo power manager and used the windows one. I also uninstalled the original trackpad driver software and installed this one which made a world of difference compared to the crap one that it ships with. Also make sure you create the restore discs and they can be useful when you resell or if something becomes a problem later down the road. :)

What are the major differences between the trackpad software/drives?
