I clean installed Win 7 on my X220 after it got corrupted. It previously was a clean install also but now I have several issues which worked before flawlessly.

I installed lenovo System update to get drivers.

    1. bluetooth

However Bluetooth is not working at all. Where can i find the bluetooth driver? On the according page for X220 there is only a software for "increased data rate" and installing that fails because it does not find a bluetooth device.

In Device manager there is one unknown device. I assume it is the bluetooth device.

    2. wireless switch

Maybe related to that is that fn + F5 does not work and I don't get the normal dialogue as seen below:

How can i enable this? I have installed the hotkey driver!

    3. fingerprint reader

I do not get this custom windows login screen which ask for the fingerprint. I only get the password dialog. How can I default login to use fingerprint scanner?

    4. Display brigthness

previously when I toggled brightness it showed the currebt level, say 5-6-7 or so. It does not do that now (but the brightness hot key does work)

    How can I solve this?

You need the Lenovo Power Manager application and driver to toggle the wireless switches, with that you may be able to activate the bluetooth with the FN+F5 dialogue and allow that to install.

For the login did you install the fingerprint software? If it doesn't work and you installed Windows 7 via UEFI you may need to apply a workaround to get the software to work which can be found here.

As for the Brightness Display you will need to install Lenovo's version of the Intel graphics drivers for it to display correctly, try to ignore/disable graphic drivers from Windows Update if prompted. The necessary drivers can be found here ( 32 Bit/ 64 Bit).

ok. I was too quick to ask. After installing all Windows updates, most issues were resloved expect the fingerprint reader.

For the fingerprint reader also the suggested workaround did not resolve the issue.

    EDIT:

To clarify the reader works on the lock-screen when clicking on "different authentication method" (don't know exact english phrase as my win install is not english). However this option is to there on login plus previously it was the default option and the login screen had a "special" image with a fingerprint.
