    Hi,

Could anyone with the X220 slice battery share their experience with the slice battery. Does it really work as advertised?

Also, does the slice have a dock connector at the bottom? So could you put the X220+slice into the Ultrabase? Or you have to remove the slice before docking?

    Thanks!

I have the slice battery for my X220T and I'm getting about 6-7 hours more batterytime with it, however there is no dock passthrough on the slice...

It seems pretty large and cumbersome. Just pick up an extra 6-cell or 9-cell. Doesn't take much time to hibernate and swap batteries.

the good thing about the slice is that it can be charged independently without connecting it to the laptop. So i guess this could be valuable for some people.

I have two chargers and the slice, and being able to charge it separately is extremely convenient, since it will not charge both batteries at the same time when the slice is on the X220 (slice gets charged first).

I use the 6 cell for most stuff, but the 9 cell plus slice lasts around 19-22 hours.

Groceries, do you think the slice is worth the money? Does it make the notebook REALLY that fat? Pictures, pictures!

Unless you travel heavily and is unable to charge your battery, then the answer is no it is not really worth it. I am contemplating of getting one, but at 250 dollars i am somewhat hesistant.

Well Provantage has it for 193...and if you buy it with an X220/Tablet, you get a discount to 170.

Lenovo makes a battery charger device. I'd recommend that and a second 9 cell over the slice. Also the ultra base charges your second battery - or at least the X201 did - with a connector on the left side.

I got an open box one for $130, so yes. It's worth it. I got my 9 cell with the X220 so it was discounted, and I sniped the 6 cell for $50 used with 5% wear. I'm happy with all of that. :D

I like going on long excursions, backpacking, and occasionally I'll experience a snowstorm on Halloween that knocks out my power and internets for a week.

    Hi guys,

Been looking around for a laptop that can last 20++ hours, and found this thread. Would you mind sharing your X220 complete spec. in order to get 20++ hours battery last beside just getting the 9 cell batteries and slice.

As I know different type of CPU and RAM will eaten your battery as accordingly, perhaps also monitor type, etc.
Perhaps anyone who have successfully get their X220 to manage getting 20++ hours battery care to share the detail spec of his/her X220 perhaps?

    Thanks alot and really appreciated.
