I ordered a refurbished unit of x220 and it arrived today. (off ebay with manufacture sealed tape)
So far I am very happy with this laptop.
However, I just found out that although the laptop has two speakers,
only the right one is working!
So instead of getting a stereo sound it only has mono, which is quite annoying when the sound is not balance.
I checked the system settings and the volume is balanced on left and right channels.
X220 owners, would you check to see if yours have the same problem?
Since it is the refurbished unit, i'm not sure how to deal with it. Ask lenovo to send the missing speaker to me?

just tested mine with Spotify, both speakers are working..I wonder, would that issue transfer to headphones as well? Might be worth checking out.

Who refurbished it? If it was Lenovo, then it still should be under warranty.

i tried the headphone jack and both channels work fine, unlike the speakers.
the person who sold me this laptop was very prompt with his responses and helpful through the process. I believe I might be able to return this laptop.
And yeah it still has one year warranty from lenovo.
I'll really miss it though, everything about this laptop just works like a dream :/

Totally forgot my x220 even has speakers! :p There are only two things I don't love about my x220: the speakers and the lack of 16:10 (which I frankly don't think will ever come back). I am obviously okay with both compromises, but my "perfect" laptop would address those two items.
