Even at max brightness, the display on my x220 tablet doesn't seem very bright. Moreover, I think the brightness sometimes gradually increases/decreases on its own--I don't mean the power management dim feature which is very obvious--I mean something much more subtle. Anyone experienced this?

I've tried updating the Intel HD drivers through both Lenovo's site and Intel's site, but they didn't make any difference.

I've got the multi-touch display type.
