    Hey!

I have the power manager set so that when I close the lid of my X220, it locks the workstation and goes into "hibernation" mode. Recently, I closed the lid for about an hour and set the laptop down, then when I came to pick it up and turn it on...I found the machine was EXTREMELY hot, and that when I opened the laptop, the screensaver was on.

Is there a problem with the power settings? I just want it to stay in hibernate mode.

I've had problems with this on my T61P, and windows 7, and almost burned it up.

With lithium batteries, this is an extremely dangerous situation as a single AA sized cell can make a torch-like flame jet that's about 24" long.

If connected to a network then Network Management might be at work. Make sure that network management options are disabled in the BIOS. Also make sure that in Device Manager no devices are allowed to wake a hibernating computer (it's under the power management options
