This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    The 12.1-12.5" size has been around far longer than the netbook category.

    Think of it this way: netbooks are really just crippled subnotebooks. :D The subnotebook category's been around for a *lot* longer than the "netbook" fad. The X220 shares far more of its DNA with the ThinkPad 240 than it does the X120e.
