I have a pressure spot on my X220 IPS display and I contacted Lenovo support more than 2 weeks ago. As I have next business day warranty I expected there will be more than enough time to get it fixed by the coming Monday as I am leaving for a long trip. But I was wrong, as the display is not in stock and they cannot tell me when it will be available.

That is very frustrating and I never had this problem in the past with Dell support. My hope is now that they will send the display to my location for the coming 3 months so that I can fix it myself. Does anyone know if Lenovo will do that?

In all the thinkpads i've owned over the years, I have never experienced an out of stock parts (warranty) situation.

    Dell, is a different story.

Good luck man, that sucks. Doesn't sound unusable though. Or is it?

Probably not as the screen is not a Customer Replaceable part.
