    I have a new thinkpad x220t.
To avoid scratches, I want to protect my screen somehow.
Currently I just put a cheap protective plastic screen. But it looks pretty bad and it gets a lot of scratches. I need something better.

I heard about the gorilla glass option. I don't know what it is, but I wonder whether I can add a gorilla glass to my computer, or is it something that is built-in when you buy the computer?

    :)

The gorilla glass is part of the display. To add the gorilla glass you would have to buy a new display which would likely be quite expensive.

There are manufacturers of stick-on plastic display protectors that you peel off and replace from time to time.

Here is one supplier: ThinkPad Protective Films | Photodon.com - ThinkPad Screen Protectors

If you want protective, consider Zagg's InvisibleSHIELD. Photodon doesn't protect the screen as well but they have better finishes. Do you have a matte finish or glossy one?
