    Hello!

Thanks to all the past posters for the information you've provided on this forum. You helped me make my decision and buy an X220t laptop. Its my first tablet and it's been GREAT. Money well spent.

Now .. the reason I'm posting. Due to an unfortunate piece of incorrect information I was given by a Lenovo sales rep (foreign guessing based on her name), I ended up with an outdoor HD laptop. I can confirm for you that outdoor HD does not support finger touch EVER (this is not what I was told).

Thankfully the great NC USA based team at Lenovo took care of me. I am returning the outdoor HD to them for a full refund once I receive the multitouch HD machine, with identical build otherwise, within 2 weeks. Well not identical .. I added the webcamera to the new one.

Anyway, This presents all of us a unique opportunity .. I will have both computers in my possession and can take a bunch of HQ pictures of the screens in both sunlight and standard light at different angles. I would be happy to present this information to all the other visitors/posters in return for the help I've received from all of you thus far.

I was thinking of cross-posting these pictures to the official Lenovo forum as well.. but based on their approach to the complaints about the digitizer (removing harmless/productive posts..), I think I will share this information on 3rd party forums only, like notebookreview.com

So .... while we patiently wait for my replacement PC to be built and shipped from Shanghai .. Does anyone have any special suggestions or comments for this upcoming comparison? Any special poses you want to see? :)

post it on the lenovo forum and i'll personally make sure it stays. i'm not sure which posts/threads you're referring to having disappeared. removing truly harmless/productive posts isn't the practice of any forum, that's for sure.

a comparison would be great to see.

thanks erik! I will post it there as well then.

I figure since I had so much indecision to work through when deciding on the screen I was going with .. a clear comparison would be helpful to others. This machine is definitely really great, with my only (minor) complaints being the slightly inaccurate digitizer, low resolution, and weak speakers. I can live with all of these.

I hope to answer one other question/rumor I heard as well .. that currently these machines are shipping with the same base LED LCD and just adding or removing the layer on top. Which makes me also question, why is outdoor HD (sans capacitive touch layer) $50 more than multitouch (with capacitive touch layer)??

This should be answered soon.. Hopefully I'll be able to pull some LCD part numbers from the machines without opening em up. I'll definitely be comparing max brightness between the two and sunlight performance.

    Stay tuned!!

I'm curious - does the tablet you're returning have the 2x2 or 3x3 antenna?

Did you just take away my right to report the post for inappropriate content?

no, there's a "don clause" in the report function that automatically allows your reports to come through.   it was written into the software. :D

I'll be looking forward to seeing the pictures; it's a tough choice between the two screens for me, from what I've read so far.
