I am novice when it comes to doing something like this.

What would the picture quality be like if I plugged in a Thinkpad into an Lenovo M90z AIO?

    How is it done?

It is my understanding that the M90z is a VGA input. It can be used as a stand alone monitor.

What is the picture quality difference between an HDMI and VGA input?

The M90z is a desktop, not a monitor.
