Just wondering if anyone else ever has issues with the left mouse button not working. It doesn't get physically stuck, but sometimes the left button doesn't respond, neither the physical button, the mousepad tap, or the mousepad click. Sometimes it doesn't respond at all and other times it seems like a key is being held down as it'll click things but it'll act like the shift or alt key is pressed down although they aren't.

Also, sometimes upon wake from sleep, the touchpoint and the physical moues buttons won't work. I'll have to cycle the sleep/awake a few times to get it to work.

I sometimes also get wifi connection issues with the intel 6205 chip. On wake, it show that it's connected to the network but won't get any internet signal, and sometimes after being on the network for a little bit, the it'll drop internet signal and require either a sleep/wake cycle or restart. Disconnecting and reconnecting to the network won't fix it.

Lastly, I can't seem to get my minidisplay port to output anything more than stereo sound. I'm using a minidisplay to HDMI adapter, and I've tried a few with no luck. I've tried connecting straight to my Denon 2312 receiver, and it'll do video only without sound. I can only get sound when connecting to my TV, then doing audio pass through to the receiver via a optical cable, but only for stereo sound. Both minidisplay to HDMI adapters worked fine with my friend's macbook air, and that will connect to everything perfectly, as if it was just going through a regular HDMI port. Why did lenovo put this POS apple proprietary port on their business laptop instead of HDMI, and then have awful compatibility??? I knew it was there prior to buying the laptop, but had I known it wouldn't connect to anything properly, I probably would have gone a different route.

I'm wondering if it's all due to driver issues with windows 8, but I'm not sure. I can send it in for warranty service if needed, but it'll put me without a computer for a few weeks which I'd like to avoid if at all possible.

I take it I'm the only one with these issues?

Your keyboard/mouse inconsistencies sound like a hardware problem to me. I'd boot a "live" Linux distro from USB or CD and run it for a while to see whether I could replicate the behaviour there.

Wireless card losing connection is likely a driver and/or settings issue.

No wisdom to offer on the issues described in the final part of your post.

    Good luck.

I also have the "trackpoint not active after sleep" issue, but it's pretty rare--it's happened 5 or 6 times over the last year. Interestingly, it just started in the last few months. I just close the lid, re-open and it's gone. Honestly, it hasn't happened enough for me to explore the issue any more--but you're not alone on that one.

As far as multi-channel audio output, you could look at a sound card or HDMI card for your 54mm express card slot. That's one nice thing about these machines--you can expand it as you like.
