    The author says if both the keyboard and the palmrest are replaced with X220 parts then the screws still fit.

    The problem lies with the bios though, a bios hack is needed to get all those functions keys to work

    I don't think the issue is the fitment, the problem is remapping some of the shortcut keys to that of the 7 row keyboard. That said given how determined some ThinkPadders are on getting the most out of their system I wouldn't be too surprised if there was a mod that can cater to this at some point in the future.

    The keyboard does fit perfectly if you take the palm rest with it.

    erik stated that BIOS won't work with 7 row keyboard, unless you of course modify the BIOS and void your warranty..

    Local lenovo guy told that the old keyboard is too high for low profile laptop, normal keys would touch/scratch the screen.
