    Hi - I bought this for $600 after tax during a price mistake, but wanted some opinions on the processor which though is not released officially, they shipped it to me.

    Intel Core i3-3120M is the processor.

    Is this comparable to like a i5?

    For 600 dollars, this is great. i3 mainly lacks turboboost and some other features for virtualisation as compared to the i5 and i7, but if you are using the laptop for home use, then i3 is more than sufficient.

    That's entirely dependent on the needs of the user. Like lead_org stated, if a user needed visualization technology or some other feature found only in the higher-end CPUs, a SB i5 or i7 would be better than an IB i3.

    In this case, however, an i3 is more than enough.

    So they did ship that i3-3120M, it was quite the debate on SD.

    yup got it yesterday with that processor, backlit, ips, 8gb ram, 500gb hd (5400 rpm), webcam, fingerprint, slice 6 cell, regular 9 cell, and ultrabase for $603 after tax
