    Hello everyone!

I just received my X230T yesterday, which I had ordered on lenovo's website with the "indoor multitouch screen"
However, the screen that is on my laptop has a somewhat glossy finish to it - it is definitely not matte as advertised (I've compared the reflections seen on it to laptops I have with screens I know are matte and the difference is staggering).
From what I understand the indoor screen should have 5 touch points whereas the outdoor model only has 2 touch points?
Using the onscreen keyboard windows 8 is only able to register 2 simultaneous inputs leading me once again to believe that the wrong screen is installed.

Does anyone know of any means by which to confirm this (such as by an FRU? I tried searching around but couldn't find anything)

    Thanks a lot!
    Arthur

The windows 8 "PC information" also confirms there is only "Limited Touch Support with 2 Touch Points"

I would go Lenovo Support - Parts Lookup (US) here and lookup your parts list. You should find a FRU listed for your LCD. Then I would compare your FRU to the list of screen FRU's for your X230 tablet below that I found in the X230 tablet parts list.

    04W3919 N LGD 12.5HD IPS
    04W3990 N FRU LCD12.5MultiT HDLED
    04W3991 N FRU LCD12.5Outdoor HDLED

    Thanks for the quick reply!
The parts website lists my machine as having 04W3990 FRU LCD12.5MultiT HDLED
Is there any way that the screen installed on my machine could be different than the one listed?
The glare is quite pronounced and it should have 5 touch points - I'll go post a couple of pictures to see if anyone can tell the difference.

This "glare" is normal, because there is a glass-front covering the screen. It is matte. You can not make the glass full matte.

    Thanks for the replies!
If this indeed is Lenovo's idea of an anti-glare screen it really is quite disappointing. I guess it's my own fault for not finding out about this before ordering my x230t.
On another note, has anyone managed to get windows 8 to recognize more than two touch points? I've tried doing a fresh install, installing the Wacom drivers, but no luck so far.
