    Hi everyone,

On many ThinkPads (Windows 7), you used to be able to set custom charge thresholds - e.g the battery would stop charging once it reached 50%.

How on earth are you meant to accomplish the same functionality on Windows 8.1?\

    Any help is much appreciated.

Hi Dragnoak, thanks for the link. I tried following the steps here in message #10: https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/X-Seri...r-App-Battery-Health-issue/m-p/1455377#M55807

,but the charge threshold option is still not appearing. I am looking for it in the Lenovo Settings App (Metro App).

Am I looking for it in the wrong place?

    Thanks for your help.

    Have you tried this KBA?

    https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Window...ThinkPads-under-Windows-8-without/ta-p/920657

Here is the other thread I mentioned. It goes along with the KBA.

    https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Window...ThinkPads-under-Windows-8-without/td-p/916361

Other than those solutions, I don't have any clue. I don't have a Lenovo laptop, Think or otherwise, using Win 8. All I know was that they took away the charge options in Win 8, and those threads contain the procedures to get it back.

    Sorry.

Does the Power Manager no longer work in newer series? I have T500 and it is working nicely in Windows 8.1, except for the Instant Resume though.

Yes, I don't think Power Manager is available on the newer series, on Windows 8 or later. It is only available on Windows 7.
