    ThinkPad X240 | 12.5" Ultrabook Laptop| Lenovo Australia

I hope we get some more choices in the US... I checked the Japanese site on Google Translate and it's the same.

What puzzles me is that there's no option for the 1080p screen. Also noteworthy: max 8GB ram, max battery: 2x3-cell (one inside, one outside).

Prices are in Aussie Dollars, so don't freak out.

Why does this puzzle you? You should be used to this by now. Or was there an announcement the X240 was getting one?

Obviously, yes. The X240 was announced to get the FHD option, but this option is going to be added later (maybe before the end of this year, or the beginning of the next year.

That's unfortunate, I was ready to hit buy as soon as the X240 became available here in the U.S. but absolutely want the 1080p screen. So sad to have to wait longer :(

I have the X220 with the IPS screen, and let me strongly second that. You *want* the IPS display. It's absolutely beautiful.

I own the X220, and got my whole team at work T440s. The T440 is nice machine, and the display is higher resolution, but the colors don't pop the way they do on the IPS. For watching movies or just for anything, I prefer the smaller IPS to the larger TN.

I'd love to hear what you think about the trackpoint and buttons, I mean when you get it of course.
