Could anybody comment on the quality of the non-touch IPS panels (HD and FHD) on the ThinkPad X250 in regards to viewing angle stability? I am curious if they suffer from the narrow band of luminosity problem that seems to affect some (all?) LG panels on late model 14" ThinkPads, specifically the T440s, and even the new X1 Carbon.
For reference, I placed two T440s machines next to each other in this video:
The one on the left is AUO, and the one on the right is LG. The video may exaggerate the effect somewhat, but it is definitely noticeable in-person.
Having recently seen the 2015 X1 Carbon with the non-touch LG IPS display, it is evident that this issue has not gone away. But I have never seen an X240 or X250 in the wild to know if they, too, have this annoying issue.
