One of my USB ports on my X30 isn't fuctioning properly. For example, when I plug in a USB flash, it'll light up for one second, then turn off. It looks like it's working (installing drivers) for one second, and then it just shuts off. The port itself looks a little abused; the inner plastic piece looks a little bent (second hand laptop).

Is it possible to get a replacement USB port, or would I have to swap out a new motherboard?

Now that's a tough one. It probably is due to the bent part. I don't think you'd want to replace the MB. Why not get a port replicator? Those are pretty handy, though my xps m1210 didnt really need one because i already had 4 usb ports. A replacement USB port would be just about impossible to get, mainly because its second hand and not covered by warranty. Sorry
