Greetings, I was just curious as to see if anyone here on the boards has ordered, and RECIEVED their X300 yet ? If so, how do you like it ? All I've seen from this notebook is the you - tube videos, and the thinkpad.com web site. Just wondering what you all think of it, and how many have actually received theirs yet.
Thanks !

I don't think anyone has, since we'd see a thread that say something along the lines of, "OMG my x300 rules/sucks"

The X300 is one of those notebooks everyone likes to talk about, but doesn't actually own/want one. I've asked the same question numerous times, and was ignored, so I presume it's really just another MacBook Air. It's pretty disappointing actually when its drawbacks are considered as you have to justify the high price.

I really like it. -
I assume you've already read Andrew's excellent review here at NBR?
I've had one for a while now, and I'm very pleased with it. Thin, light, runs cool, great keyboard, bright/clear screen. To me, it feels like a thinner, lighter version of the 600 series. Not a serious gamer, so I don't have any info like that. It handles everything that I do on a daily basis while running one of the @home apps in the background with no problems.
What would you like to know? I've answered a number of questions about it in TPF's X300 conference already, but if there's something I haven't answered there, feel free to ask. -
Got one for my daughter a week ago & have now ordered one for my son.
Adds to our existing collection of T43 (14"), 2*T60 (14"), T60 (15"), T61 (W14").
I run the T61 in 1280*800 & the rest as 1024*768. I was a bit concerned that the X300 resolution would be too small to read but I'm actually very happy with it.
The only thing stopping me getting one for myself is the small SSD size of 64GB. After configuring the X300 for my daughter there's only around 35GB left for her data. -

I got mine last week. I was using a T61 15inch model before that. I was concerned about performance and storage, but I have found that the SSD helps make up for the lower speed processor. I am not noticing any major slow downs. I am left with around 30G of available space on the SSD after installing my apps and data (I keep data that I don't use often on the network or my USB hard drive).
I am happy with the build quality (an improvement over my T61), battery life and weight.
X300 - Does anyone here actually own one ?
