    Hi,

does anybody know if the SSD of the X300 can be replaced by a standard Hard Drive? If yes - which form factor (1.8 vs 2.5)?

It's just that the Notebook is little to expensive for me as a student - so it would probably be an option for me to downgrade the HDD...

    Thx a lot, rgds

It would appear to be a 1.8" SSD. Good pictures at HERE. Found the link by googling "x300 dissected". ;)

But exchanging the SSD with a normal HDD is likely to cause some termal problems, right? Anybody done it before?
