    X301 - Has yours shipped yet?

    I just wanted to know if any X301 started shipping. I put in my order 2/9, the estimated shipping date was 23/9.

    However, as of today 7/9, the status of my order is still "in process", which means they are still waiting for the credit card approval!

    Is it usual for "processing" to take 5+ days?

    (I know this question should be directed at Lenovo, but they keep telling me "its not unusual" -> removing the double-negative yields "its usual"!!!)

    I did not order a X301, but regarding my x200 purchase...they did not process my credit card for weeks and I had to call to ask for updates on shipping and was eventually told something along the lines of "oh your card didn't get verified". I was mad because it had been weeks and I had called earlier to just check up. So if it stays like that for a long time you might just want to ask if there are any issues with it and make them note to the CC department to process it. Hope that helps some.

    I don't get why they make a huge project out of charging a credit card?!

    All other vendors seem to process cards automatically, or 24-hours max.

    I ordered my X301 on 9/2/2008 and the estimate shipping date was 9/23/2008. Then on 9/5/2008 I made a change to my order which changed the shipping date to 9/26/2008. They still didn't charge my debit card yet and when I asked them about it they told me that they are very busy because of the "back to school rush". I guess all we can do is wait... :(

    I just called them today (6 days into my order). They told me the same thing; "the back to school rush" is causing a 7-day delay in processing (it seems like a memo they sent to all sales reps ;)).

    I thought the bottleneck in flagship products was manufacturing the thing... not processing the credit card.

    Ok... its been more than a week since I put my order in, and the status is still "in process".

    I have been calling them on a daily basis to ask why - they tell me that they are verifying my shipping address...

    I want to cancel my order from Lenovo and order from a third party, anyone knows where I can get it from? All major resellers are listing the x301 but they will backorder it (i.e. not in stock.)

    Don't worry about that "In process".
    Lenovo will not update any informaton until they ship your laptop. All you can see before the shipment is "in process".
    Try to use IBM tacking webpage. It gives you more details on your order.

    Ordered x301 on 8-28-2008- Shipped today 9-10-2008
    Should have tracking number 9-11-2008
    Was scheduled to ship by 9-19-2008, finished ten days ahead of schedule.
