    Good day everyone !

Well, this is the first time I did any "windows updates" since June for my X301. Only problem is now my internal microphone doesn't work :( It's VERY faint, might as well not even be turned on. The driver is all up to date, and the computer knows it's there, it's just not working.

I went to Skype and it's like my microphone was muted. I tried screwing with all the settings in the microphone settings (volume, mute, etc. etc.) and nothing seemed to work. What am I missing ? I'm positive it's something in the updates that I installed that turned my microphone into a mute lol

Also, I checked under "sound", and found that the internal microphone (Conexant 20561 SmartAudio HD) IS in fact on with a green check mark. I also tried messing with the (hitting "properties") levels, etc. and it's still not working :(

What's the Microphone Boost set at? You can adjust it by right-clicking on the audio system tray icon > Recording devices > right-click on the currently in-use microphone > Properties > Levels > Microphone Boost.
