Hi all,
I'm using an X301, and Everest is reporting for the CPU:
CPU Type Mobile DualCore Intel Core 2 Duo SU9400, 1200 MHz (6 x 200)
Is there something wrong here? It never shows as any faster than this. The CPU is rated at 1.4ghz. Am I misinformed? Or is my CPU running slower than it should?
Thanks
Michael

Some more info:
CPU Clock 1197.0 MHz (original: 1400 MHz)
CPU Multiplier 6x
CPU FSB 199.5 MHz (original: 200 MHz)
Memory Bus 399.0 MHz
DRAM:FSB Ratio 12:6
Thanks -
check ur power plan.
set it to "balanced" or "high performance"
if you're using lenovo's newest power manager, set the slider to the max. -
I haven't installed the Power Manager, using Windows 7. Plan is always set to high performance unless I'm out and about.
Any more ideas? I'm at a loss here. -
It's probably a part of the normal power-saving techniques. Try stressing the CPU and simultaneously looking at the clock speed to see if it is at the maximum clock speed.

There is bios level power savings where the CPU will run at various multipliers to be more power efficient and produce less heat. You can disable it in bios. But you shouldn't find that necessary anyways.
X301 running at a slower clock speed than it should?
