Has anyone experienced a X301 and T400 w/ LG led screen? The T400 led screen isn't too bad imo, having come from a T60. How does the X301's compare?

The LED screen on the X301 is OK.
I've had my X301 since November and I've noticed the screen definitely has some light bleed on the lower portion of the screen. However, besides that (the only other laptop I have to compare it to is my T61's screen). It's much brighter, and the colors are more vibrant than my T61's screen.
I've never used a Flex-view T60 display before, but I'm sure the X301's screen doesn't hold a candle to it

my X301 is just as good as my father's T400 WXGA+ LED. both require the same tweaks in the intel display control panel to mitigate the harsh contrast. the end result is actually very good -- good enough that i'm selling my X61s w/ AFFS SXGA+ and keeping the X301 as my main ThinkPad.

Does your father's T400 have the Samsung or LG panel?

I just received my X301 and am really disappointed by the LCD panel. I've made some tweaks in the graphic options to mitigate the horrible blue cast, but I can't find any way to fix the fact the black levels are abysmal and there's a noticeable pattern visible in solid-colored, bright areas, that I've never seen on any LCD panel before.
What sort of tweaks did you do besides the color control?
