    hi
my Thinkpad X31 ist stuck in my Ultrabase X3 Dock. The release lever seems to be broken. Is there something like an emergency release or any other way to release my notebook? I have searched the web for any guides or troubleshooting FAQs but wasnt able to find any clues about this although this seems to be a common problem with the X3 and the X31.

    Thanks for any advice

    yeah thanks anarky321,

i gladly take your crowbar to beat the crap out of those IBM technicians who constructed such a low quality product and not publishing a faq or guide for this well known problem. So no need to sigh, your crowbar is usefull at last.

Hello. I am in the same boat with a stuck X30 in my Ultrabase. The release lever is clearly broken.

I'm thrilled to find there is a solution on the German site. I can get to the link to repair the Ultrabase and those pictures are clear. But I have to get my IBM Thinkpad off of the base first, and the link to the anti-stuck guide takes me to a German logon/registration page.

Can you help me get to the anti-stuck guide? Please?
