    Hi,

Is there any good reason why one should buy the X41 vs. the X32? The X32 has the M Processor 745 1.80GHz and 1024x768 and 16MB ATI Mobility RADEON. The X41, on the other hand, has the Pentium M Processor 758 Low Voltage 1.50GHz and 12.1" 1024x768 Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 900. The X32 with dedicated ATI card and faster CPU but still cost less than the X41. I want to buy the X series laptop but I still can't figure out which is more bang for the bucks.

Any help from you guys will be greatly appreciated.

You'll see more battery life out of the 41 and it's a little lighter/smaller.

In the x32 you can get a faster hard drive. With the x41, which uses 1.8" hard drive, you are stuck with a 4200RPM drive. You'll only get better battery perofrmance from an x41 if you get the larger battery which sticks out from the back a little. Good Luck.

Guys, thank you very much for your advice. I will get the X32 based on the performance and bang for the bucks advantage. EPP offers the X32 model 2884M5U for $1124.25:

    Microsoft Windows XP Professional
    512 MB
    40 GB
    IntelĀ® PentiumĀ® M Processor 745 1.80GHz
    12.1" 1024x768 16MB ATI Mobility RADEON
One year parts and labor (system battery: one year)

I will add 3-year warranty for an additional $118. The X3 ultra base is cheaper to buy from eBay as well as the NEC slim DVDRW with a slight modification of the bezel.

I think it depends what you want to do with it. The X41 is smalller though.
