Hi, does anyone knows if I can copy the content of that partition onto a DVD and used it as a recovery cd for later and get the 4 gig space partition back?

I used partition magic to see the partition when I found out that they were no cd/dvd coming with my new laptop.

    Thanks

    Pat

You can burn off a set of the recovery discs. Start>All Programs>Access IBM>Create Recovery Disks. That is assuming you have access to an external usb or dock burner. I'd also recommend burning off a copy of the drivers folder. Good Luck.
