    X6 Ultrabase and Optical Drive

    At the moment, I don't feel as though I'd need the x6 ultrabse for the X61, but its only 95 bucks as opposed to double that if I buy it on its own? Is this a worthwhile purchase?

    Also, any recommendations for getting an external optical drive?

    If you already have a optical drive that fits in it (something from the T series line), I would say pick it up. If not I might say just get a external dvd burner that is USB and go that route. The X6 base doesnt provide anything additional to the X61 besides the optical bay, and a larger speaker when docked.
