Hello!
Was starting my X60 today and recieved a whole bunch of messages that said something like "*** is corrupt"... I think it was sptd.sys that was named but i'm not 100%.
As usual, the first solution was to restart. That was the misstake of the month and gave me the hell that i'm now up in.
The computer boots past the thinkpad screen and shows the windows symbol for like 3 secs. Then *poff* bluescreen that tells that: A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.
Underneath is the message like "STOP: 0x00000024 (0x00190203,0x89487008,0xc0000102,0x00000000)"
I'm getting this screen in case i'm trying to do the following:
*Normal startup
*Startup with safemode(All the different like with network and so on)
*Startup with last known good configuration
* When i try to boot from the XP CD and do the or make a new install of the OS
I've got a dvd reader through USB and everything(well almost) is backed up so a clean install shouldn't do alot of harm for me.
The message of the bluescreen is changing slightly for the different types of startups.
I've googled and searched in alot of places to find a solution or just a possible reason for this but i'm totaly left behind right now...
I really hope someone has got a answer or just a clue on this.
I will try to call the lenovo support tomorow from my work but it's kinda tricky because they've got open just in the times that i'm at work.

How about trying a Linux CD. That'd tell you if it's a hardware or software issue.

I did that and it seems like a hardware failure..
Called lenovo here in Sweden and after a few questions he mentioned it will probably be a warranty thing so i'm going to send it to them for repair..
Looking forward to see what it is... Never been up to that you can't do anything at all by yourself with it...
I'll update when i know! -
Don't they they just send you a drive? That's what they do in the US at least. It's very easy to replace.
X60 Harddrive failure??
