Hi guys,
This might be a dumb qs. But I was wondering what are the differences between the two besides the speed.
Thanks!

maybe the weight, b/c one has a better processor
-
They are pretty much the same, but the difference lies in the cpu used. The X60S uses a low voltage Core duo, as opposed to the regular Core Duo used in the X60.
Because of this, the X60s is more expensive. -
Primarily the x60s uses the low voltage Core Duo whereas the x60 uses the regular x60.
-
The low voltage of the x60s means it runs cooler.
The x60s is editors choice, practically everywhere. It's almost universally critically acclaimed as the best ultraportable on the planet, bar none.
Lucky you -
Yup. Lucky you.
If I only had the option of getting a PC AND a laptop, I'd have gone with the X60s as my notebook choice and a new PC w high-res LCD and all the extras.
Alas, that choice was not available and I'm now "stuck" with my 15" T60
Seriously, if I had the choice, I'd get the X60s in a heartbeat. -
Yeah but you may not like it if that's your ONLY computer, because that small screen and keyboard can become tedious if it's all you got.
Especially if you're moving from a desktop. This is NOT a desktop replacement device... it's an ultraportable, a terrific ultraportable, but still an ultraportable. -
It is possible to have the X60 or X60s as one's only computer once you get used to the screen. The size of the keyboard is almost identical to that of a regular keyboard. Lenovo just made the keys at the left and right side (tab, shift, backspace, etc.) smaller to fit everything into the small frame of the X60.

The enter key is the one that bugs me... but it's s good keyboard for a small machine.
Oddly, i like the keyboard on the new 12" averatech too (maybe better)
Anyway with a dock or port replicator, you can add as big a monitor and keyboard as you want.
But keep in mind that due to its small size the X60 series has no trackpad, only a trackpoint (which is fine by most users)
X60 and X60s
