i was planning a week ago on having a z61m then i reconsidered on something

    an x60 with ultrabase!

i just want to ask... does the ultrabase need a separate power (plugged in,that is). i think it is cute to have the x60 due to its obvious size and weight.. ports...but where's my cd drive!? hehe

i was wondering if the ultrabase is like an add-on to the system (much like connecting a separate external drive that draws power from the system).

additional question... does alt-tabbing in such a small screen great? i mean does it move from one window to the other fast (considering it having a great processor-ram)

    sorry for the stupid question...

    i am having a 60-30-10 score (z61m-t60-x60)...

Why not an external optical drive? Performance on the x60 is very good.
