Now that Lenovo has announced the X60 tablet with svga+ display, does anyone know if they'll offer the same high-rez display on the non-tablet X60 models? The XGA display is pretty much the only thing that's driving me away from the X60. Thanks!

Good question. Would be nice to see the high res. on the X60 (non tablet). So that was announced today for the tablet?
-
My own personal opinion is it is doubtful.

SXGA+ went GA (general availability) several days ago on the new tablet. It may be withdrawn, depending on demand.
It hasn't yet been publicly announced whether SXGA+ will be offered on the X60/61 or when.
Most of these models are corporate purchases and they haven't been demanding SGXA+ for their employees. The marketing analysis will likely dictate whether there's a trial offering of SXGA+. -
Would make sense to put it on the smaller screen, maximize the 'real estate' of the display.

yea, indeed quite small on a 12".... ive never seen it 'in real', but i think 14" sxga+ is already as small as it gets, for me (been using that for quite a long time..).
i would like it on a 12" too, if one had the choice to use xga too (of course one has, but we all know what the non-max resolutions look like on these monitors....). It would def. be no good in my dual monitor setup here at home...(where im not directly in front of the thing) -
They have it on 12" Dell M1210 as far as I know. That is widescreen however.

but i hate laptops with inbuild webcams.
its probably more 1280*800 than sxga+ on the dell, btw (havent checked tho.. clicking thru that 'configure your dell' list is a nightmare that never ends) -
You can choose to NOT have the built in webcam - no A/V package.
I know what you mean about the clicking through the several pages. I didn't much welcome that new 'graphical' appeal. There is an option towards the top of the configuration page that says, 'Switch to list mode'. Try that, I prefer it. -
i dont think i want another 12" again regardless.
X60 with svga+ screen?
