I was playing with a Vista loaded X60s at CES 2007 and it was behaving pretty well, a little slow maybe, but I was very happy to see that the Tablet PC Input allows for true erase instead of scratch out.

Do you know if it lowered the battery life compared to running Windows XP?

No idea, I just handled it for 3-4 minutes and none of the manufacturers are quoting any type of new battery life for machines with Vista versus XP.

From my understanding there was no thinklight on the x60. if so that is great because believe it or not it was one of my checks on my "con" list against the x vs t. (i still chose the x :)
