I recently purchased a refurbished X60s and decided to start off with a clean installation of Windows XP as I found the ~80 running processes a bit much from the factory.

I'm having a problem installing the audio drivers for it. I keep receiving the "HDA Audio Bus is required and cannot be found." I looked up the KB888111 fix from other topics; I've been using one of Lenovo's software utilities to update Windows with several patches, including KB8888111. However, every time I install the KB888111 update and reboot, it shows up as uninstalled.

Is there something I'm missing? Only having the annoying board beep has the only sound is horrible.
