    Hi All!

It is my first post on this forum writed on my 1 day old X60s :)

    1) After reading many post on this forum I am not sure what will be if I choose "Start/Programs/ThinkVantage/Create Recovery Media"?
Will it create image of my disk C: partition or (what I looking for) will it create image of my hidden partition (HAP)? I looking for possibility to create backup of my hidden partition. If in future I format my whole HD (partition C and hidden partition) will I able to recovery my hidden partition from backup created with ThinkVantage/Create Recovery Media tool?

    2) I have X60s without docking station. Have You any idea how to create Recovery Media using another desktop computer? Maby using network connection?

    3) If I made hidden partition image with Create Recovery Media tools from ThinkVantage to USB Hard Disk how I will boot my computer after formating X60s disk? Maby I don't need boot, only recovery from USB HD, reset and press ThinkVantage blue button and all will going on?

Perhaps just buying an external burner might be a wise course of action.

I agree, it's better to buy an external burner.
A cheaper option would be buying an internal DVDRW burner for desktops and then buy a USB enclosure for it.

ThinkPad tech support should be able to answer your questions.
