I am wondering how good is the screen? After some heat problems with my Dell X1 I have decided to sell the replacement they sent me and buy a Thinkpad. My only concern is the screen. How good is the screen? I dont particularly care about the viewing angle since I dont want people sitting next to me in class looking at what I am doing anyway, however brightness is a concern. Does anyone know how good the screen is compared to the Dell X1?

If you are on center it should look good. There is an ultrabright version of the screen if you need more brightness.

I think it UltraLight, my bad. The machine type is 1702-94U. It is 180 nits whereas the regular screen is 150 nits. I know there have been some posts on it in this forum.

Does all X60s come with UL? I cant seem to find out whether a particular model I am looking at has UL or not on sites. Even Lenovo.com doesnt seem to give this information. Is there like a particular pattern in the model number? Im trying to find a X60s with UL and a 60gb HD. RAM and CPU doesnt matter.

Grrr this is frustrating, right now its either get everything else I want or the UL...why does Lenovo have to put it this way blah. Anyway thanks for your help, I think Ill just go with the regular display.

Zaz do you know the "nit" rating of the WXGA "matte" version of the Lenovo n100 15.4" ( I believe the res is 1280 x 800)?

I dont mean to hijack this thread, just didn't want to make a whole new thread :)

    Thanks!
